Seminar: Humor and Gender for Young Audiences

  • Kulturtanken Studio 2 Gullhaug Torg Oslo, Oslo Norway (kart)

How is gender perceived in humor for young audiences?
Does humor exist differently for boys and girls?
Do we think or know that they laugh at different things?
Do we think differently when considering audiences of different genders?

As part of INAF25 we have a double bill presented by the danish company Don Gnu. They are presenting two performances that are somewhat linked. M.I.S. - All Night Long (Men in Sandals) and K.I.S.S. (Women in Socks and Sandals). The connection is easy enough to spot.

These performances present the “modern” male and female perspective in todays society in fast paced and exciting formats. This made us think about how humor might be perceived for different audiences and whether there is a vital difference in the audience and the topic of the performance.

Join us for a talk all about Humor and Gender for Young audiences in which we’ll try to explore these themes more closely!

More information about who will participate in the panel will be updated in due time. Please be mindful that times and location may be subject to change.
