We are excited to present the Swedish dance company TuBO & Co with their performance ODD!
Some people always have everything perfectly fitting! Always right, always stylish, never too small, never to small or too big. Colour, shape, lines, body - a perfect outfit for every situation! While others struggle with the same knots that can never be untied. How can the same sweater be right one day, but wrong the next? ODD is a dance performance for children and young people from 6 years old about understanding the pattern and finding the right side, about reconciling with oneself, fitting into the body, the group, the space and the world.
In ODD, humour and movement are used to explore identity, insecurity and social expectations in a way that young audiences can identify with. Through dance and playing with clothes, the performance conveys a light and humorous introduction to the challenge of fitting in - whether in a sweater or in society. This makes it an excellent contribution to INAF25's theme of humour in the performing arts for a young audience. TuBO will hold a masterclass at INAF25 where they share their working methods with professional performing artists as well.
This provides a unique insight into how they develop and communicate themes such as identity and humour, both in ODD and in other productions.

TuBO consists of Tobias Ulfvebrand and Hugo Therkelson. Both are educated at the Royal Swedish Ballet School, and in addition to several years of professional experience as dancers, have also worked in the field of music as composers. The critically acclaimed puppet show "Vill ha hund" at Dockteatern Tittut was the starting point for their collaboration, where they were able to combine their love of dance, puppets and music. The collaboration then contued at Dockteatern Tittut with the show SNÖ (Snow), and now Avig (ODD) under its own direction, which builds on their previous work.

The performance is part of the International Norwegian ASSITEJ Festival titled "Are You Kidding Me?" exploring humor in performing arts for young audiences. The festival is arranged by ASSITEJ Norway in collaboration with Riksteatret between 6-10th of May 2025.
