Open Call for INAF 2025: Are You Kidding Me?

INAF 2025, The International Norwegian ASSITEJ Festival, is on a mission to uncover the magic of humor in performing arts for young audiences! Our next festival is called "Are You Kidding Me?" and aims to explore humor in performing arts for young audiences, and we need YOU to help us explore it!

How do you make a baby laugh? Or even harder: How to make a teenager laugh?

This open call is for ALL KINDS of program proposals. Our main interest for this edition is workshops, masterclasses and other formats, related to your artistic practice, interests and working methods. Your main proposal should be a professional participatory event, not a production.

• Workshops – Share your skills and techniques on humor in performing arts. ‍
• Professional Program Content – We’re open to suggestions for talks, seminars, research, and whatever else is really funny and important!  ‍
• Masterclasses - Offer masterclasses to help artists and international programmers elevate their craft.
• Other participatory formats (surprise us!)

Our main audience is performing arts professionals, programmers, teachers and academics. Proposals that combine professional participants with children and/or young people are also interesting.

But, what about shows! Can I propose a show?‍

Yes you can. We’re looking for innovative, hilarious, and engaging performances for audiences aged 0-19 years. Make sure that you describe the relationship between your main proposal and the show.
